Custom-Fit, Precision Milled Putters

As a golf professional, I am dedicated to continuing to improve as a teacher of the game.  I also want to offer the finest services to my clients.  As such, I recently researched a custom-fit, precision milled putter company called Coutour Golf.  Many players have recognized the benefit of being fitted to wedges, irons and drivers, which make up 60% of a player's score. Now the putter, which is the single club responsible for 40% of a player's score, can be fitted as well.

Coutour was founded by Todd Sones, a golf professional who has been recognized as on of the "50 Greatest Teachers in America" by Golf Digest.  Todd also owns and operates the Scoring Zone Golf School just outside of Chicago, which is also included as one of the Top 25 Schools in America, of which it is ranked 4th by GOLF Magazine.

Coutour Golf was started on the principle that the putter, and for that matter, all equipment that is fitted, should be fitted through instruction by golf professionals who are experienced teachers.  When golf equipment is fitted properly, it is fitted to compliment and reward the correct set-up and motion so that a player can perform to their potential.

Coutour putter are 100% CNC Precision Milled in the USA.  Copy and paste the link below to learn why milling putterheads is superior to cast putterheads.

The Tri-Fit process, which Todd developed and patented, is based on teaching a player to set-up correctly first and then be fitted to a putter that compliments a proper set-up and putting motion.  When a player is set-up correctly with a properly fitted putter, they will improve their putting.  For many players, improved putting could substantially reduce their score, in that putting is 40% of the game.

Fitting through Instruction Process

  1. Set-up tilted forward from the hips.  The hands should align under the shoulders with the elbows flexed, connected to the ribcage.  The weight should favor the balls of the feet.
  2. Use the Tri-fit tool to take a measurement for length of the putter compliments the proper set-up position.
  3. Use the swing weight chart to determine the proper gram weight based on length.
  4. Choose a style head based on your preference.

I am now offering Coutour custom-fit putters and embrace the ideal that golf equipment should be "Fitted through Instruction".  As a golf professional, I am dedicated to your enjoyment of the game and believe that Coutour Golf will help enhance that enjoyment.
